In my opinion Psychiatrist Contends the Field Is ‘Committing Professional Suicide’ Psychiatry — and medicine in general — has a dangerously close relationship with the pharmaceutical industry

British psychiatrist and Big Pharma gadfly David Healy is so controversial amongst his colleagues that some have tried to have his medical license revoked — but there he was on Thursday, speaking at the American Psychiatric Association’s (APA) second largest annual meeting at a well-attended session on conflicts of interest.

“It’s a miracle that I was asked along to give a talk [here], and I’m extremely grateful,” Healy said.

In my opinion Dr. Mercola says Let’s End the Prescription Drug Death Epidemic, but Cathal Grant is a pro drug company doctor accepting $151,474.00 since 2010 in payments from the drug companies to push their drugs. In our experience Cathal Grant is not a pro patient doctor, because he does not want to cure his patient, he actuall wants the money from the office visits, after the hooks you on the drug companies drugs, he is paid to push.

Deaths from prescription drug overdoses have been called the “silent epidemic” for years, and now, with one American dying every 19 minutes from an accidental prescription drug overdose,1 it’s being described as “the biggest man-made epidemic in the United States.”2

Dr. Sanjay Gupta, associate chief of neurosurgery at Grady Memorial Hospital and CNN’s chief medical correspondent, recently highlighted the gravity of this issue, as many Americans don’t think twice about taking powerful pain-relieving drugs like morphine and Oxycontin.

In my opinion Dr. Mercola tells of Suicide Overtakes Car Accidents as Leading Cause of Injury-Related Death, and a doctors like Cathal Grant will give you these drugs if you need them or not, Cathal Grant in our experience is perscribing drugs based on the chemical embalance theory which is no longer an accepted theory, Cathal Grant is not in the business of curing you, but pushing drugs to get you hooked on drugs, so he can make money on his five minute office visits in which you do not get true medical care at all.

A recent report on causes of death shows that suicide has now overtaken traffic accidents as the leading cause of injury-related death in the US. One reason for that is because car accident occurrences are down. But even so, the rate of suicide rose by an unhealthy 15 percent between 2000 and 2009, and poisoning (the number one cause of which is prescription drugs) rose by a whopping 128 percent.

In My Opinon Dr. Mercola Tells of The Scary Trend Of Boomer Addiction, an addiction that doctors who hook their patients on drugs on purpose like Cathal Grant does, so he can make more profit from office visits, never curing not one patient under his care

The Scary Trend Of Boomer Addiction

The picture of a drug addict in your head is probably not one of a grey-haired grandmother or grandfather, a middle-aged professional or a soon-to-be retiree.

But the face of drug addiction in the United States is changing, and a significant number of older adults, particularly those in the baby boomer generation, are struggling with both illicit and prescription drug abuse …

In my opinon Reports: ABC News: DSM-5 Criticized for Financial Conflicts of Interest—70% of task force members have ties to Pharma. Cathal Grant has had these Financial Conflicts of Interest and ties for years, now (he has been paid $151,474.00 since 2010) who is he working for you the patient or the drug companies, our experiences says without a doubt the drug companies, and you will not leave his office without a drug, if you need it or not.

The manual, published by the American Psychiatric Association, details the diagnostic criteria for each and every psychiatric disorder, many of which have pharmacological treatments. After the 1994 release of DSM-4, the APA instituted a policy requiring expert advisors to disclose drug industry ties. But the move toward transparency did little to cut down on conflicts, with nearly 70 percent of DSM-5 task force members reporting financial relationships with pharmaceutical companies — up from 57 percent for DSM-4.

Medicating children with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a double-edged sword, not only because of the steep health risks posed by the medications themselves, but also because many kids labeled with “ADHD” actually do not have ADHD at all.

Diagnosing ADHD really comes down to a matter of opinion, as there is no physical test, like a brain scan, that can pinpoint the condition.

There’s only subjective evaluation, based on signs nearly every child will display at some point (fidgeting, easily distracted, difficulty waiting his or her turn, and so on).
